On Tuesday, June 24th 2014. Tri City Rentals hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Rustic Village Apartment Community to announce the opening of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging station. Rustic Village featured a Leviton Ever-Green Level 2 public use charging station, which is able to accommodate two vehicles at one time. A Level 2 charging station is compatible with all electric vehicles and plug in electric hybrid vehicles. Depending on the battery technology used in the vehicle, it generally takes about 3-6 hours to completely charge a depleted battery. This station is part of the ChargePoint Network, which will allow EV owners to locate, reserve, and navigate unoccupied charging stations online and through mobile applications.
